Tor Wennesland, the UN’s special coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, has renewed his call for a ceasefire in Gaza after Israel’s recent attack on a school housing displaced Palestinians.

In a statement, Wennesland emphasized the ongoing toll on civilians, stating, “Every day civilians continue to bear the brunt of this conflict amid horror, displacement and suffering.”
The UN envoy expressed deep concern over the latest strike, which resulted in dozens of fatalities at a school sheltering thousands of displaced individuals. He highlighted the mounting human cost of the war, pointing to this incident as a stark example of the conflict’s devastating impact on non-combatants.
